Parallel with her solo career, in recent years Caroline has worked with a vast range of artists and in 2003 combined joining The Chieftains as guest cellist and vocalist with performing lead vocals on the 'Emotional Technology' album from BT. She is currently working non her own fourth album and also recording with Loreena McKennitt for Loreena's ninth album.
As a classically trained cellist her first professional employment was with Siouxsie and The Banshees and since then she has contributed to albums by Radiohead (The Bends), Peter Gabriel, Muse, and The Waterboys to name just a few. In the late 90s Caroline toured with the Indigo Girls and Loreena McKennitt and has also played live with Sakamoto, The Cranberries and Nigel Kennedy amongst others.
Renowned producer William Orbit heard her vocals on the Massive Attack track 'Home Of The Whale' (which she also co-produced) and asked her to sing several songs for a project interweaving traditional Celtic songs with contemporary drum tracks but then he heard her own songwriting and this led to the recording of Caroline's first solo CD, Spirit, released by WEA in 1995.
Following her debut, she collaborated on a number of albums with both French avant-garde composer Hector Zazou and Greek composer Vangelis also recording the soundtrack for the Ewan McGregor/Ashley Judd film ‘The Eye of the Beholder’ amongst other TV film and documentary projects. As a dance diva she has featured as lead vocalist on club hits by Chicane, Art of Trance and Jam Nation.
